Volunteering with A CORDA is not an impersonal transaction; it is an enriching, reciprocal journey of mutual human growth. When you assist an anxious teenager in centering clay on a pottery wheel, help an eighty-year-old grandmother find her voice in our vocal circle, or drive our mobile art supply van over mountain passes to a secluded village, you are directly reinforcing the social safety net of our region.

Open 2026 Volunteer Profiles & Opportunities
We offer a diverse spectrum of volunteer engagements suited to different talents, interests, and schedules. Below are our four primary active volunteer profiles for the 2026 operational year:
Workshop Welcome & Hospitality Facilitator
Be the welcoming face that puts nervous participants at ease. Prepare soothing herbal teas, set up ergonomic chairs and easels, assist participants with limited mobility, and participate alongside community members during visual art or singing circles.
Commitment: 2 to 4 hours weekly (Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons).
Key Skills: Empathy, patience, friendly demeanor, good active listening.
Mobile Logistics & Technical Crew
Help transport our portable acoustic instruments, sound equipment, clay kilns, and painting supplies to rural community foyers in Massat, Castillon, and Oust. Assist with loading our association van and staging comfortable workshop environments.
Commitment: 4 hours bi-weekly (Wednesdays or Saturdays).
Key Skills: Valid driver's license (B), physical readiness, reliable teamwork.
Hospital & Healthcare Arts Liaison
Accompany visiting musicians and certified expressive therapists during bedside visits and geriatric day-care units at the Saint-Girons hospital. Provide gentle physical assistance, hold acoustic rhythm instruments, and offer quiet companionship to patients.
Commitment: 3 hours weekly (Monday or Friday mornings).
Key Skills: Calm presence, discretion, emotional maturity, comfort in medical settings.
Civic Communication & Archive Volunteer
Assist our voluntary board with transcribing oral history recordings, documenting workshop photographs, designing simple informational flyers for municipal noticeboards, and updating our transparent public documentation.
Commitment: Flexible 2 to 3 hours weekly (remote or in-office).

Our Volunteer Charter & Institutional Commitments
A CORDA believes that volunteers deserve the highest standard of institutional respect, safety, and support. In accordance with French civic guidelines and the Charter of Voluntary Engagement (Charte du Bénévolat), we provide:

- Official Civic Service Certifications: Formal certificates of voluntary service provided upon request for resumes, educational validation (VAE), or civic awards.
- Strict Non-Replacement of Paid Labor: Volunteers perform solidarity support missions and are never used to substitute for statutory civil service employment or medical staffing.
